Synopsis

When Scout and her brother Jem are playing in the treehouse, they hear a man running through their backyard. The Finch kids decide to try to catch this man and they also decide to bring along their friend Dill. The neighbors catch the kids and accuse the man of being a criminal. When the kids go home and tell their father what happened, their father decides to defend the man in court. The children also meet a lady named Miss Maudie who is their neighbor and the kids’ friend.
